I fear those big words, Stephen said, which make us so unhappy.” – James Joyce, Ulysses

I am James Farson. I am a 25 year old English Literature graduate and recipient of the Ian Gordon Prize for best dissertation in English. I studied at University Centre Peterborough and am now a writer and freelance copy editor/proofreader. I will largely be posting thoughts I have regarding the books I’ve read, and some of my own prose fiction and poetry. Some of these pieces have been posted as soon as I’ve finished writing them, some I’ve worked on for a lot longer, and some I’ve blown the dust off and found nothing better to do with. I am currently working on a novel, just like everyone else is. Follow me on twitter @thosebigwords, like my facebook page, or follow me on tumblr to find out what I’m doing while I’m putting off updating this blog. Lucrative book contracts, thinly veiled threats, and reminders that I need to pay my student loan should be sent to james.farson[at]googlemail.com   All writings on this site are copyright James Farson 2014
